Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a medium bowl, combine ground pork, chopped scallions, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 0.5 teaspoon sesame oil, and 0.5 teaspoon grated ginger. Mix well.
Lay out wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place about 1 teaspoon of the pork mixture in the center of each wrapper.
Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold to create a wonton shape. Press edges to seal.
In a large pot, bring chicken broth, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger, and minced garlic to a boil.
Carefully add the wontons to the boiling broth. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the wontons float to the surface and are cooked through.
Ladle the soup and wontons into bowls. Garnish with chopped scallions and cilantro.
Notes
Adjust seasonings to your preference. You can also add bok choy or spinach to the soup for extra greens.
