  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 0.5 lb Ground pork
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg Egg
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 12 oz Tortellini
  • 8 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Chopped carrots
  • 1 cup Chopped celery
  • 0.5 cup Chopped onion

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, and Italian seasoning. Mix well and form into 1-inch meatballs.
  • Brown the meatballs in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Remove from pot and set aside.
  • Add carrots, celery, and onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in chicken broth, return meatballs to the pot, and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add tortellini and cook until heated through, about 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a bay leaf or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
