  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 1 egg Egg
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 8 oz Mushrooms Sliced
  • 0.5 cup Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose Flour

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until just combined.
  • Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside.
  • Add mushrooms to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and cook for 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in beef broth until smooth.
  • Return the patties to the skillet. Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes, or until the patties are cooked through.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite vegetables.
