Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until just combined.
Form the mixture into 4 patties.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside.
Add mushrooms to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and cook for 1 minute.
Gradually whisk in beef broth until smooth.
Return the patties to the skillet. Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes, or until the patties are cooked through.
Serve hot.
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite vegetables.
