Ingredients
  

For the Hot Chocolate

  • 4 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • vanilla extract 1 teaspoon, optional

For the Reindeer Decorations

  • 4 pieces chocolate sandwich cookies for the head
  • 8 pieces pretzel sticks broken into halves for antlers
  • 8 pieces mini chocolate chips for eyes
  • 4 pieces red candy like M&Ms or gumballs for the nose
  • edible glue or frosting for attaching decorations

Instructions
 

Make the Hot Chocolate

  • In a saucepan, whisk together the milk, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and sugar.
  • Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate chips are melted and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
  • If using, stir in the vanilla extract.

Decorate the Reindeer

  • Pour the hot chocolate into mugs. Place a chocolate sandwich cookie on top of each mug, with the cream side facing up.
  • Break pretzel sticks in half and insert them into the top of the cookie to create antlers.
  • Use edible glue or frosting to attach two mini chocolate chips for eyes and a red candy for the nose on the cookie face.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your festive reindeer hot chocolate!
