Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, and eggs until well combined.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Stir in the milk and the optional chopped nuts.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
