Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add mashed potatoes, salt, and flour. Knead for 5-7 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic.
Place dough in a greased bowl, turn to coat, and cover. Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Punch down dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a roll.
Place rolls on a baking sheet and brush with melted butter. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
These rolls are best served fresh from the oven. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
