  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup crushed candy canes

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in crushed candy canes.
  • Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
