Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and peanut butter. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
Press dough with a fork in a crisscross pattern.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
These cookies are best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
