Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.

Stir in the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
This banana bread is delicious on its own, or you can add in 0.5 cup of chopped walnuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
