In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate, reserving about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the skillet.
Add the trimmed green beans and olive oil to the skillet. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the green beans are tender-crisp, about 8-10 minutes.
Season the green beans with salt and black pepper. Stir in the cooked bacon and toss to combine.
Serve immediately.

For extra flavor, you can add a clove of minced garlic to the skillet with the green beans.
