Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together milk and egg.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Stir in the sliced hot dogs.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
