  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter for greasing the pan

Preparation Steps

  • Slice each cinnamon roll in half horizontally to create two flatter pieces.
  • In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Dip each cinnamon roll half into the egg mixture, coating both sides. Let them soak for about 15-20 seconds per side.
  • Melt butter in a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  • Place the coated cinnamon roll halves onto the hot skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Repeat with the remaining cinnamon roll halves, adding more butter to the skillet as needed.
  • Serve warm, drizzled with maple syrup and dusted with powdered sugar, if desired.
