  • 15 ounces pitted and halved avocados from 3 medium hass
  • 1 each lime juiced
  • 0.33 cup red onion minced
  • 1 clove garlic mashed or minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro chopped
  • to taste kosher salt and fresh pepper
  • optional diced tomato and jalapeño

Preparation Steps

  • Place the pulp from the avocados in a medium bowl and slightly mash with a fork or potato masher, leaving some large chunks. Add lime juice, salt, pepper, cilantro, red onion, and garlic. Mix thoroughly.
  • If you are serving this at a later time, cover tightly with plastic wrap so no air gets on it to prevent browning.

Notes

This avocado dip is best served fresh but can be refrigerated for up to one day. Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos and salads.
