  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup Chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 0.5 cup Cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine apples, cranberries, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
  • Pour mixture into a greased 8x8 inch or 9-inch pie dish.
  • In a separate bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, 0.5 cup flour, 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon, nuts (if using), and cold butter. Use a pastry blender or your fingers to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apple cranberry mixture.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
